Emcee Todd Wilkinson is an award-winning journalist, known foremost for his writing about the environment and his knowledge of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. He is co-founder and editor of Yellowstonian, and author of Ripple Effects: How to Save Yellowstone and America’s Most Iconic Ecosystem. He is also a writer-in-residence with the Northern Rockies Conservation Cooperative.
Matt Barnes is a range scientist, wildlife conservationist, and former ranch manager, who works on Reintegrating Wildness in working landscapes, as a research associate with the Northern Rockies Conservation Cooperative. He works with land managers to improve rangeland stewardship and has worked with ranchers to prevent conflicts with large carnivores such as grizzly bears and wolves in Montana and Wyoming, and wolves in Colorado.
Cristina Eisenberg is an ecologist who builds government-to-government partnerships between federal agencies and tribal governments to carry out research and restoration projects that combine traditional ecological knowledge with Western science, or two-eyed seeing. She is author of The Wolf’s Tooth and The Carnivore Way.
David Quammen is a National Geographic Explorer, and an award-winning journalist focused on science, history of science, and the relationships of humans to landscape and biological diversity. He is author of eighteen books including Heartbeat of the Wild: Dispatches from Landscapes of Wonder, Peril, and Hope, and Monster of God: The Man-Eating Predator in the Jungles of History and the Mind, as well as a few hundred science articles.
Betsy Gaines Quammen collects stories of haunted histories and wild landscapes to make sense of a place shaped by colonization, extraction, rebellion, myth, beauty, and nature. She is author of True West: Myth and Mending on the Far Side of America and American Zion: Cliven Bundy, God, and Public Lands in the West.
Hosted by the Northern Rockies Conservation Cooperative (NRCC), which advances conservation for the common good.
