Welcome
I'm a conservation scientist and a scientific conservationist, and an explorer of ideas, mostly about land, water, wildlife, and people in the American West. My business, Shining Horizons Land Management offers rangeland science and management services. My non-profit work, Reintegrating Wildness: an integral approach to rangeland stewardship and coexistence with large carnivores (a project of the Northern Rockies Conservation Cooperative) involves promoting human-carnivore coexistence, especially livestock-carnivore coexistence, on the working wildlands of the West.
